Exhibition of Vietnamese heritage and landmarks opens in Điện Biên

ĐBP - The exhibition "Travel through Việt Nam's Heritage Sites and Landmarks" took place on Saturday evening at the Cultural Exchange and Tourism Information Centre in Điện Biên Province, as part of the National Tourism Year - Điện Biên 2024.

The exhibition saw the participation of 21 provinces and cities nationwide. It aims to introduce the cultural heritage values, natural beauty, typical historical landmarks, and popular destinations beloved by tourists across the country.

During the event, both locals and visitors will have the opportunity to admire 300 beautiful photos showcasing UNESCO-recognised heritages, famous landscapes, and the distinctive cultural life of various regions and areas nationwide.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the traditional attire of Việt Nam's ethnic groups, from everyday garments to ceremonial ensembles.

Additionally, cultural tea exchanges will provide a taste of the flavorsome brews hailing from Việt Nam's renowned tea-producing regions, including Điện Biên, Lai Châu, Hà Giang, and Thái Nguyên.

Furthermore, attendees can enjoy outstanding artistic exchange programmes that introduce and honor various intangible cultural heritages of ethnic groups, such as the Tây Nguyên Gong Festival, the art of bài chòi singing, military drum performances, rowing, unique folk dance of Việt Nam's Thái ethnic minority called xòe Thái, folk songs, and dances of Vietnamese ethnic communities.

During the event, the exhibition will welcome visitors daily from 8am to 9:30pm, spanning from April 20th to 25th.
